19.1.42 NRx Enhancements

Black box label warnings, which have a priority level of 12, were not populating for fentanyl drugs. Increased the maximum number of Prioritized Label Warnings allowed from 10 to 25. This ensures that black box label warnings as well as any warning with a priority from 10 to 25 populate/print.

Certain data elements are now being required by drug wholesalers. Added the following reports so that your pharmacy may easily provide these details. Note: The reports were added to fulfill requirements for Cardinal and McKesson, as there is already an established data feed that provides this data to Amerisource.

Added Wholesaler History reports to Reports, Prescription, Wholesaler History. Choose to run either by Date Filled (Cardinal) or Date Sold (McKesson), depending on your wholesaler.

Prevent pickup items from being processed for shipping. Added the ability for the Shipping interface to recognize the User Table (interface table) on the Interface Update screen so that the interface can skip certain types for Delivery Methods, Price Plans, etc.

Example: The table can be set up to skip Delivery Method, P (Pickup). All other orders continue to be sent to the Orders.csv file.

Added the following to provide more flexibility for RSA in cases for which mistakes need to be corrected or information needs to be updated.

To prepare for future vaccine programs, updated the system to automatically generate an eight - character alphanumeric case ID for each RSA Shingles Education MTM opportunity created. The case ID is unique to each pre-defined RSA MTM type code so that you can have a duplicate case ID for a different RSA MTM type code, but you will not be able to have a duplicate case ID for the same RSA MTM type code.

Added a Case ID field to the existing RSA Education layout and updated the system to send it to CPE via the web services gateway whenever an RSA Education MTM opportunity is marked complete.

Added the Case ID to the Patient MTM Opportunity Report.

Any RSA1 MTM type code opportunity records from before Service Pack 42 are converted to unique Case IDs.

Changes have been made to your NRx software to ensure all users have a valid e-mail address for future enhancements which improves system security and provides a seamless log-in process.

Store Control

Added E-Mail, as a required field, to the Add New Employee Wizard. Enter up to 80 characters. A valid e-mail is required when either adding a new employee or changing the security options for an existing employee.

Renamed the E-Mail Address field to E-mail on the Employee Detail screen. Enter up to 80 characters. A valid e-mail is required when either adding a new employee or changing the security options for an existing employee.

Added an Employee E-mail is Invalid error message that displays if an invalid e-mail is entered for the employee.

Implemented the following to meet state requirements for PDMP reporting.

If Delivery Sheets Print Option, Send to PMP, is selected and the prescription has multi-SIGs, the cassette quantity is combined for each SIG for a multi-SIG prescription and that sum is reported as the quantity dispensed.

Data Collection/Delivery Sheets (Send to PMP)

Updated NRx systems that include the nursing home module to report PDMP transactions using the applicable NCPDP number if your pharmacy has two NCPDP numbers. This alleviates the need to manually change the NCPDP number on the PDMP website for submissions.

In addition, the system checks the NPI Number field in the Price Plan of the PDMP reportable transaction and sends that number in field PHA01 (NPI - National Provider Identifier). If blank, the PHA01 field is populated with the NPI number in Store Identification.

Respectively, the system checks whether a Provider Number is entered and if the Provider Qualifier is set to, 07 - NCPDP Provider ID, in the Price Plan. If so, the Provider Number entry is sent in field PHA02. If blank, the PHA02 field is populated with the NCPDP number in Store Identification.

Store-side Manual Reporting for ASAP 4.2, 4.2A, and 4.2B for PM4 and PM7

Updated the system to send the following fields/values for PMP reporting when using state codes PM4/PM7 and using versions 4.2, 4.2A, and 4.2B.

The system checks the Provider Number/Qualifier fields in the Price Plan of the PDMP reportable transaction. If the Qualifier is set to 07, then that provider number is associated as the NCPDP for that prescription. Otherwise, the NCPDP number in Store Identification is associated with that prescription.

Respectively, the system checks if the NPI Number field is populated and associates that number as the NPI for that prescription. Otherwise, the NPI number in Store Identification is associated with that prescription. Each matching group of PDMP reportable prescriptions will have their own PHA segments, populating PHA01 (NPI) and PHA02 (NCPDP/NABP) depending on how the prescriptions are sorted.

Added the following to alleviate issues printing the long drug name particularly on vial labels.

Added label routine 813 to print the first 35 characters of the long drug name, and routine 814 to print the second 35 characters of the long drug name. Use these routines in conjunction with routine 811 that prints the long drug name.
